According to the data analysis published by the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in May 2021, compared with the previous month, the import value of auto goods decreased slightly, and the export value increased slightly; compared with the same period of the previous year, the import value of auto goods , The export value continued to maintain rapid growth year-on-year, and the growth rate of imported goods was still the most significant. In May, the total value of import and export of auto goods was 16.99 billion US dollars, a decrease of 0.3% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 1.0 times. Among them, auto merchandise imports amounted to US$8.25 billion, down 2.5% month-on-month, and an increase of 1.2 times year-on-year; auto merchandise exports amounted to US$8.74 billion, an increase of 1.8% month-on-month and an increase of 92.3% year-on-year.

From January to May, the total value of import and export of auto commodities was US$80.86 billion, a year-on-year increase of 61.2%. Among them, the import value of auto goods was US$39.44 billion, a year-on-year increase of 60.8%; the export value of auto goods was US$41.42 billion, a year-on-year increase of 61.7%.

In May, a total of 96,000 vehicles were imported, a decrease of 2.0% from the previous month, and an increase of 1.4 times year-on-year; the value of imported vehicles was US$5.01 billion, a decrease of 3.9% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times. The export of whole vehicles was 168,000 units, a month-on-month increase of 8.4% and a year-on-year increase of 1.9 times; the export value was US$2.76 billion, a month-on-month increase of 6.6% and a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times.

From January to May, a total of 429,000 vehicles were imported, a year-on-year increase of 54.2%; the total vehicle imports amounted to US$22.98 billion, a year-on-year increase of 73.0%. A total of 753,000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 99.7%; the export value was US$11.64 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 times.

In May, the import value of auto parts was US$3.23 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 0.2% and a year-on-year increase of 69.0%; the export value of auto parts was US$5.98 billion, a month-on-month decrease of 0.2% and a year-on-year increase of 78.8%.

From January to May, the import value of auto parts was 16.46 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 46.4%; the export value of auto parts was 29.78 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 48.1%.
